Customer Service Representative Listed 13/08/21

Due to our expanding business, we are currently seeking a highly motivated customer service representative with a view to work through to an external sales representation role. We are looking for a proactive, motivated individual with the ability to multitask in a team environment and have a passion for sales. Ideally we would like an ex-welder who is looking for a career change away from the tools but holds a passion for the engineering industry.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Quotations

- Customer Service

- Trade counter sales

- Phone sales

- Some Warehouse Duties – picking / packing / dispatching / unpacking of shipments / stock take

- Have a NZ or AU citizenship or a NZ work visa or NZ residency status

- Fork lift licence with experience loading and unloading trucks would be ideal but not essential

Required attributes, skills and experience:

- The main requirement to be successful in this role is a positive "can do" attitude and a strong commitment to delivering high-level customer service.

- Ability to identify welding related consumables and run welding machinery

- Strong communication skills

- Good computer literacy

- Current drivers licence

Welder Repair/Electronics Technician Listed 13/08/21

Due to rapid expansion, we are looking for a motivated, focused individual to carry out the service and repairs of welding equipment and machinery. Global Welding Supplies is a privately owned company based in Auckland. Established in 2005 we stock a huge range of welding related equipment and consumables supplying New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. The applicant should display a great can-do attitude, ability to work independently or part of a team. The role has plenty of daily variety. The base role is diagnosing faults, carrying out the required repairs and liaising with customers through the process to ensure a superior level of customer service. Previous welding experience would be advantageous.

The applicant will:

- Hold a current NZ EST or Full Electrical Licence

- Have a current clean driver’s licence

- High level of electrical aptitude

- Contain a high level of organisational skills and combined efficiency

- Ability to communicate effectively with customers daily

From humble beginnings in Avondale, we now have over fifteen years' experience and are one of the largest suppliers of welding machines and consumables in NZ. As a result of continuing growth, we have an opportunity for a talented Account Manager in the Auckland market.

The role involves:

- Providing exceptional technical and sales support to customers.

- Understanding their businesses and challenges, and providing product solutions to address them

- Achieving sales budgets with existing customers and proactively identifying new business opportunities which fit with the strategic plan of the business

- Preparing proposals, capturing information in CRM and writing succinct but informative reports

- Working alongside customers to provide solutions

Prior sales and service experience in the welding industry is essential for this role, as well as a proven track record of sales success and budget achievement with both existing and new customers. Great opportunity for an ex-welder or ex-fabricator that is ready to get out of the workshop and get on the road building customer relationships.

What else is required?

As well as the above, this role requires:

- Excellent written and oral communications skills

- Exceptional organisation, planning and time management skills with the ability to plan days/weeks/months in advance to maximise efficiency

- A high level of professionalism and a track record of positive working relationships and delighted customers

- The ability to self-motivate with a proactive approach and the ability to create positive outcomes and growth

- Good attention to detail in reporting, follow up and follow through

- A team player approach with a "can do" attitude and the desire to make a positive difference

- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Suite) with exposure to CRM an advantage

- A valid NZ driver's license

This role is available immediately, so applicants must currently reside and be legally entitled to work in NZ. Applicants from Australia who do not need a work visa to work in NZ would also be considered.
