Features and Benefits:
TIGarc 2% Thoriated Tungsten contains a nominal 2 wt-% or thorium oxide (ThO2) that is evenly dispersed throughout the entire length of the Tungsten.
The most common type of Tungsten used today.
Thoriated tungstens provide excellent resistance from weld pool contamination while at the same time offers the welder easier arc starting capabilities and a more stable arc.
Generally used for DC electrode applications on carbon & stainless steels, nickel alloys and titanium.
However the thoriated tungsten can be used for AC applications when low amps are needed, With Kemppi and CEA AC/DC inverter technology you can sharpen the thoriated tungsten to a point for tight corner welding or when small fillets are needed.
