Chemtools GalMax SG Silver 3-in-1 Galvanising Paint 400g Aerosol
CT-SG-400
GalMax SG Silver 3-in-1 Galvanising Paint gives exceptional premium protection against rust and corrosion, and weathers to the same colour as normal galvanising. It is fast drying and ideally suited to touch-up welds and damaged structures or components. SG Silver can also be used extensively in the maintenance and restoration of damaged or worn galvanised metal, and when used in combination with GalMax 90 Cold Galvanising Paint will offer long-term corrosion protection of steel and iron structures or equipment.
Excellent weathering caracteristics
GalMax SG is supplied to a wide range of industries, from marine to construction. It is commonly used on marine and offshore rigs, during metal fabrication, for hot-dip gal repairs, and to rust proof bridges, cooling towers, fencing and piping, and metal roofing.
Ideally suited for touch-up and rust-proofing welds, hot dip galv repairs, and damaged steel components
Can be used as a primer to seal out moisture on all metallic surfaces, with excellent adhesion to most metals.
***IMPROVED formula with extra fine zinc particles means no blocked nozzles***
Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free of contaminants, removing all scale and rust as far as possible before application. Do not use acidic rust converters or removers. Do not paint over loose or unsound surfaces.
Drying times are temperature dependent.
Invert the can and shake well for at least one minute. Shake often during use.
Hold the can upright and angle the fan jet for a horizontal or vertical pattern. Apply in even sweeping strokes approximately 250mm to 300mm from the surface. Apply several light coats a few minutes apart rather than one heavy coat.
After spraying, invert the can and press the nozzle to clear the jet. If blocked, use fuse wire and mineral turps to clean the
nozzle.
Do not paint at temperatures below 15oC or above 40oC.
Avoid high humidity
