Features and Benefits:
TIGarc S-7 Shock Resistant Tool Steel is completely heat-treatable with a weld deposit that is both shock resistant and dense.
S-7 is well suited for metal-to-metal wear areas and medium hot and cold working units.
S-7 is recommended for welding AISI S-7 tool steel when engineering changes, damaged areas, or machining errors occur.
The weld deposit will, in fact, respond to a standard AISI S-7 harden and temper cycle.
Sheilding Gas:
100% Argon
Recommended Current: DC Straight Polarity
Typical Applications:
High shock, cold work applications
Primarily used on blanking dies, trimmer dies, bending dies, chisel points, hammer faces, punches, and most high shock, cold working applications, Bull riveters, concrete breakers (moll points), riveting dies, powder metal dies, notching dies, dowels, drills, drill plates, hubs, plastic mold dies, cold forming dies, blanking dies, bending dies etc.
