Shark abrasives Scotch Brite Clean and Strip DC Purple Disc is a durable rigid and long lasting open-web disc, ideal for cleaning welds, removing rust and paint.
On one side of the disc is a fibreglass depressed center plate for attachment to angle grinders.
The open web provides maximum load resistance while maintaining cutting efficiency throughout the life of the disc.
Clean and strip come in two main types:
Black is softer, more flexible, for more conformable for shapes or light work.
Purple is stronger, more rigid, for faster removal and longer life.

The non-woven disc is a safe alternative to wire brushes, offers a greater surface area, and leaves a finer finish, which may eliminate the need for subsequent finishing steps.Scotch-Brite Clean and Strip Disc uses extra coarse silicon carbide abrasive mineral. Silicon carbide is a synthetic mineral that is very sharp and commonly used for low-pressure applications such as paint prep.
